Why Kennar doesn't mind being compared to Flaqo Razz

Multi-award winning digital content creator and comedian Crazy Kennar is opening up on why he passes on gigs to fellow creative Flaqo Razz who happens to be one of his biggest competitor in their genre of work.

28-year-old Kennar also touched on why he takes no offence when people compare him or his skit characters to Flaqo and his art, stating that it is actually a compliment.

Some of the comparison mostly comes along when Kennar plays his lady character which happens to be almost similar to Flaqo’s Mama Otis.

“It is important sometimes, it helps keep you on your toes. If you are not being compared to other people in your field than you are not putting in the work. Like there’s nothing you are doing, it helps people not sleep in the game,” started off the brand influencer while speaking with Mungai Eve..

He went on to remind netizens that contrary to popular belief him and Flaqo are actually friends and occasionally help each other out with creative ideas despite doing the same thing.

Kennar maintained that inviting Flaqo to his huge shows does not make him feel as if he is better than his friend in any way.

“Mimi na Flaqo we work together a lot, we have even lived in a bed sitter together. We are actually really good friends and we consult each other here and there, we work on projects and a lot of other things,” the comedian candidly said.

On why he always extends a hand to the fellow digital comedian, Kennar said;

“We made a deal with him back then. I was like ‘baba nikiomoka, nikisonga nitakuwa nakusongesha’ and he promised the same as well, akisonga ananisongesha. That is a promise we made each other back when we were broke.

So when I have a project and I feel this one is fire, I involve him and vice versa. Sometimes I’m behind the scenes but it’s involving. Him and I have come from far, and we are going far,”
