Why Eric Omondi is eternally grateful to Terrence & Milly Chebby
Veteran comedian turned philanthropic human rights activist Eric Omondi has shared a message of gratitude to his friends and citizens at large for helping him navigate through some things following his younger brother’s sudden demise.
Speaking during his brother, Fred Omondi’s memorial mass that was held at today at the Chiromo Funeral Parlor Chapel, the father of 2 revealed that he had not to this point spent even a single cent towards purchases of anything related to his brother’s send off due to the beautiful support system around him.
“I really want to say thank you to KBC, Wafula Bob, Gladys…Kupa John asanteni. Chebby, Chebby, Chebby… and Terrence and Jalango, and Churchill but most especially thank you, truly, thank you so much to Milly Chebby and Terrence. I genuinely don’t know what I would have done without them.
May God bless you abundantly,” Eric said heartily.
He went on to reveal that his brother’s burial date had been extended because Terrence and his wife had taken upon themselves to plan and execute. Lifting a heavy burden off Eric’s shoulders.Â
“I don’t know what I would have done really because kule tulikuwa tumebaki tu mimi na Freddie and the small kids.
We were to burry Freddie last Saturday but Chebby and Terrence called me and they were like, ‘Fred ni ndugu yako but matanga si yako.’ They have taken care of every single burial expense. I have not removed a single coin from my pockets.Â
To the media as well, may you all be blessed. I just want to say thank you to everyone. I have felt the support,” the philanthropic creative said during his speech.Â
Finishing up, in true Eric Omondi spirit, the veteran comedian went on to crack a joke lightening up the somber mood in the chapel with small sounds of laughter.
“And tafadhali, wale wanakuja kusema wakona mtoto wa Fred, mtoto awe anafanana na yeye si ety mtoto anakuja huko nyumbani anakaa Mulamwah,” Eric said managing to break a smile and make Freddie’s mother chuckle as well.
