Wambui Collymore eulogizes late hubby with heartiest message
Former Safaricom CEO, Bob Collymore sadly succumbed to his illness and passed away 5 years ago. His wife, Wambui Kamiru Collymore in commemoration of his anniversary recently shared how she is still deeply in love with her husband, years later.
Taking to her socials, the business woman wrote;
“At about this time five years ago, I had just got to Lee Funeral home. the body remembers, and the love remains constant,”Â
On her X account, Wambui simply posted several white doves at 6:42 AM as she marked her husband’s 5th death anniversary.
Kenyans on X joined her in eulogizing the late music enthusiast as they shared fond memories they had of him, while sending her prayers and words of comfort.
Collymore died aged 61 years on July 1, 2019, at his home in Kitisuru just 3 years after the couple had tied the knot in a star studded lavish ceremony. He left behind a wife and four children.
Prior to his death, the Guyanese-born British businessman had travelled to the UK in October of 2017 to receive treatment for acute myeloid Leukemia.
He returned to the country in July 2018 to resume duties as the Chief Executive Officer at Safaricom.Â
A year later, he sadly passed away and was cremated a few days later at the Kariokor crematorium.
In an interview before his demise, Collymore revealed he had been feeling unwell for some time and was misdiagnosed with Vitamin D deficiency before a doctor referred him to a specialist after they suspected he might have blood related issues.Â
