Waihiga Mwaura marks glorious milestone a day after viral Ruto interview
BBC presenter Waihiga Mwaura went viral on Wednesday, Jun 5th when he interviewed President Ruto on the segment Focus on Africa.
The eloquent media personality was hailed by Kenyans after interviewing the Head of State who is in South Korea for a Seoul Africa Summit.
The interview was on the sidelines of the two-day summit, where Mwaura sought to find out why the President had chosen to attend despite stating last year that he would not attend these summits between Africa and one other country.
Ruto had previously stated that these summits offered limited time for engagement and he would prefer that the Africa Union represent the continent in such meetings.
Waihiga’s wife Joyce Omondi is among those who have praised him for his role as a journalist, as she also indicated he was celebrating his birthday.
“Happy birthday @waihigamwaura! 🎉🤩✨ I celebrate you for your heart, your mind, your spirit. I celebrate your love, diligence, integrity, strength, faithfulness, leadership, resilience and so much more.
“As you step into this new season, know that your best is only just beginning!💯 For surely goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your long and satisfied life, just as Abba has promised! 🙏🏾✨”
Waihiga is now 40.
He was delighted by her tribute as a prayerful wife.
“Thank you my love❤️ I appreciate your support, prayers and love. 🥂 to the next decade😎”
