US-based Kenyan DJ Dark Fella recruits Jamaica’s Demarco for new single Jennifer

The DJ-turned-music promoter acknowledged that getting Demarco on a record is not easy due to his busy schedule.

“To have Demarco’s voice on a record is an uphill task and that explains why he only has collaborations with a handful of Kenyan artists including Redsan and Arrow Bwoy, which I helped put together,” the DJ said.

“He is one of the biggest names in Dancehall. His record label TGE (true gift entertainment) exemplifies a one-stop shop as he does it all from composing the beats, recording, shoots & directing his music videos,”.

DJ Calvince went on to give Demarco his flowers stating that he has cemented his name among the greats.

“Whenever you mention dancehall giants like Vybz Kartel, Mavado, Sean Paul, Sizzla, shaggy, Bounty Killa, Ninja Man, Supper Cat, Shabba ranks, Elephant Man, you cannot go without mentioning Demarco as he has cemented his name among the greats,” he said.

“The Atlanta-based Singer and Songwriter is arguably one of the most talented producers in the history of dancehall if any of his projects are anything to go by Jambe-An riddim,”.

Apart from the new music, Dark Fella has been causing ripples in the US as far as the entertainment industry is concerned.

The DJ has been rubbing shoulders with reputable names in the US, as he pushes Kenyan music on a global stage.

Some of the stars he has worked with include Nigerian superstar Davido, Burna Boy, rapper Khaligraph Jones, Wizkid, Singer Arrow Bwoy, and Jamaica’s Demarco, just to mention a few.
