UDA repeat polls for Kasarani to be held Tuesday at Hustler Centre
The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party will tomorrow (Tuesday) hold repeat grassroot elections for two wards in Kasarani constituency.
Election Board chairman Mwaura said the polls will be held for Mwiki and Clay City wards.
“Pursuant to the directive issued by the Election and Nomination Dispute Resolution Committee, notice is hereby given to all relevant stakeholders, that the UDA National Elections Board shall conduct repeat elections in Kasarani Constituency….The repeat elections shall be held on Tuesday, the 28th of May, 2024, at Hustler Centre” said Mwaura in a statement.
The exercise will be for all elective positions.
“All concerned parties are hereby informed to take due notice and govern themselves accordingly” he added.
The party has held grassroots elections across five counties-Nairobi, Narok, West Pokot, Homabay, and Busia.
However, the exercise has been repeated in at least 10 wards, across three counties.
The polls in the select centres either failed to take place or were disrupted during the first elections.
In Nairobi, the party has 853,000 registered members, Homa Bay (141,000), Narok (233,000), Busia (141,000) and West Pokot has 208,000.
