Two teams competing in next elections, says Kindiki

There are two teams that will compete in the next general elections in 2027, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has said.

The Deputy President Prof Kithure Kindiki said the captain of that team which is now propelling the unity and development of the Nation is led by President Dr William Ruto whereas the opposition leaders are preaching disunity and division

“There are those who occupied big offices but were chased from government because of tribalism and empty talks,” said Kindiki.

Speaking in Jomvu Primary School in Jomvu Constituency, Mombasa County during the Women Economic Empowerment Programme,the DP said those leaders squandered their chances while in office and have no place in Kenyan politics.

The DP lashed out at those leaders saying that they are undermining government’s programmes including the issuance of National identity cards.

“The difference is like day and night, there is a team committed to develop Kenya irrespective of their political persuasion and political inclination.

There are those leaders who misused their time and positions and have no plan or agenda for the people of Kenya,” said Kindiki.

The DP highlighted some development programs being undertaken by the government  including  road network, affordable housing programe, ICT Hubs, Overseas Job, Climate worX Programme among others.

The DP promised the residents of a Mombasa that the Kenya Kwanza administration will unlock the roads that had stalled and expand other roads in Mombasa and Coastal region.

He cited Mombasa Port Operationalization as one of the pledges made by President Ruto to Mombasa residents that was implemented when he took office as one of the key projects in the coastal region.

Prof Kindiki said that the Kenya Kwanza  administration is working on several projects in the coastal region including the Special economic Zones that will boost the economy of the region.
