NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 28 – In a significant development for East Africa’s business landscape, Kenya is poised to host the Forty under 40 awards for the first time, signaling a shift in the region’s entrepreneurial spotlight.

The prestigious event, known for honoring the continent’s top young entrepreneurs and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) under 40, will showcase Kenya’s growing influence in the African business sphere.

Basil David Anthony, the Chief Executive Officer of Modern Floors Ghana, is among the notable nominees for this year’s awards. Of the more than a hundred nominees from across Afric, 30 are Kenyans.

“I am truly honored to be nominated for the Forty under 40 Awards and to represent Modern Floors Ghana on this prestigious platform. Anthony’s company, Modern Floors, is a UK trademarked flooring brand that has made waves with its range of high-quality, customer-centric products, including Artificial Carpet Grass and Vinyl Tiles.

His visit to Kenya for the awards, organizers said, underscores the event’s growing prestige and the increasing recognition of African business leaders on the global stage.

Beyond his business success, Anthony’s impact extends to social initiatives, including feeding and refreshing over 200 children and supporting deprived girls in Ghana.

“Empowering women and supporting the girl child is not just a moral imperative; it is an investment in a brighter future for us all. At Modern Floors Ghana, we are proud to support initiatives that uplift and empower girls, giving them the tools they need to succeed,” he said.

Xodus Communications Limited Organizers said the event will bring together the finest entrepreneurs and Chief Executive Officers under 40 from the continent.
The event organizers are working in collaboration with the Ababu Namwamba-led Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs in Kenya.

Founder and Event Director Richard Abbey Jnr said Forty under 40 Africa Award is a scheme which seeks to identify, honour and celebrate a cross-section of the continent’s most influential and accomplished young business leaders under the age forty.
