In a previous interview on The Wicked Edition with presenter Dr. King’ori, Betty revealed that she began her career as a news presenter at the age of 22.

She disclosed that she was forced to wear oversized clothes to make her look older than her age at that time.

“For that reason, I had to wear a big blouse. The main reason was to make me look older and also to cover up a scar I had near my neck,” Betty said.

The stunning presenter revealed that her monthly salary as an intern at KTN was Ksh5,000.

“My salary as an intern at KTN was Ksh5,000. It’s not like I despise payments, but what would the money do? So you still have to go back to your parents and ask for transport money and other things,” she reminisced.

Earlier this month, the news anchor announced her return to TV.

In a statement on her social media pages, the mother of one daughter revealed that she has joined Cape Media Limited, where she will work as a TV47 presenter.

Betty has been away from TV screens for about four years, and while announcing her return on Friday, she said she was excited to meet her audience again.

“After nearly four years. I’m back. TV47 is now my home. I can’t wait to see my wonderful audience again. This is my best platform! Yaaaay! See you soon,” Betty announced on Instagram.

The charming presenter announced that her show would be called ‘This Friday With Betty’ and promised many surprises for her viewers.
