Tanasha admits she’s dating after moving on from Diamond

Tanasha Donna arrived in Rwanda on Thursday for a series of appearances. The Kenyan beauty was interviewed by TheChoice Live2, where she opened up about her career, her comeback, and her life with Diamond Platnumz. She had a gig at B Club and a pool party on Saturday, June 22.

Having been out of the music scene for more than a year, she explained, “It has been out of my control; I was having contractual issues, which I’m now free from.”

She also spoke about her past relationship with Diamond Platnumz and the perception that marriage can derail the careers of musicians. When asked, “The management of Diamond Platnumz said that if the wife is a singer and the husband is a singer, this isn’t going to work. Have you heard of that?” Tanasha responded, “Honestly, I haven’t. No, this is the first time I’m hearing of it, but I’m not surprised that a narrative like that is out there. Maybe there’s some truth to it, maybe not. I don’t know. We are not in that chapter anymore. That was four years ago. That chapter is closed.”

Regarding claims that Diamond was not paying child support, she clarified, “That was four years ago, and secondly, it’s not true. Right now, we are in a very good phase. We are friends, we are co-parenting, and he is the father of my son. He will always be in my life, and I will always respect him. I think the interview was made about four years ago, a very long time ago. We are in 2024 now, so let’s focus on things happening right now. Tumemaliza yote, yani tuna amani kati yetu kabisa. We are family and will always be family.”

When asked if she speaks with Diamond’s other baby mamas, Tanasha said, “Yeah, I talk to Zari. I talk to Hamisa. We are very cool, very cordial. Unajua sisi ni wazima at the end of the day.”

She also mentioned that their children spend time together. “Watoto wanaonana, wanaongea kwenye video call, kwenye simu, wanapendana, so it’s all love over here. There are no bad vibes.”

Regarding her collaboration with Diamond on the song “Gere,” she stated, “No, no, it’s all love on this side. We’ve all moved on.”

When asked about her dating life, Tanasha laughed and said, “Hmmm, maybe. You know, there’s someone special somewhere. It’s definitely not a situationship; I have lots of morals for that. I’m very picky.”
