Sign language interpreter at President Ruto’s TV interview gains attention
A sign language interpreter on Citizen TV during President Ruto’s media interview Sunday June 30, amused netizens alot.
There were 3 of them, but one in pink was quite captivating according to amused remarks from Kenyans tuned in to watch the interview.
An interpreter is a specially trained professional whose job is to convey the messages of people who do not share the same language, culture, or mode of communication.
The purpose of providing an interpreter is to allow hearing, deaf and hard of hearing people equal access to information and interactions.
The lady in pink, furiously gestured as she kept up with the Presidents speech.
Many were wowed by how energetic she was plus her facial expressions as the President spoke.
Linus asked the President his view on the 12 year old boy who was shot 8 times and what he would tell the mother.
“Mr President, this boy took 8 bullets into the body of a 12 year old boy. What would you tell the mother of that boy?”
The Head of State responded
“That boy is alive right? “
Ageyo and Kaikai informed the President the boy died.

The translator gestures harder and amused audiences notice her hand movements.
There were two other interpreters after she was replaced as seen on blog BNN.
