Shiksha Arora lands new TV job days after ditching KBC

Digital creator and journalist Shiksha Arora has announced that she will be making her debut on TV 47 after exiting KBC where she had worked as a news anchor for three years.

Cape Media announced that Arora will be bringing a new program on their Kiambu road- based  TV station.

When leaving the national broadcaster, Arora said she had created a bond with colleagues who became family.

“My heart is overflowing with emotions as I type this. It’s hard to say goodbye to a workplace that I called home for 3 years & colleagues who have become like family. Thank you to everyone who joined me on this incredible journey on #EasyFriday on KBC for the past 3 years.”

“I covered the elections, danced with the biggest names in the entertainment scene in Kenya, interviewed over a 100 celebrities & artists on the show & WHAT A TIME WE HAD! We’ve laughed, danced, cried, and grew together on @kbc_television This isn’t just the end of a show; it’s just the beginning of a new chapter which I am very excited for. Shiksha joined KBC in June 2021 at a time the TV station was launching. Before that, she had worked with K24.

Seasoned media personalities who joined the State Broadcaster during the relaunch include; Tom Mboya, Cynthia Nyamai, Shiksha Arora, John Kioria Fred Indimuli, Ahmed Juma Ballo, Harith Salim and Nancy Onyancha.

Others on the list were the late Catherine Kasavuli who was regarded as the queen and princess of the TV, the legendary Fayyaz Qureishi, the late Badi Muhsin and Pauline Sheghu.
