Select TV stations that will have their licenses revoked by CAK

In its recent crackdown, the Communication Authority of Kenya has closed down more than 58 television stations and six courier companies across the nation.

Among the affected TV stations, all 58 belong to category A, indicating commercial enterprises, shedding light on the challenging business landscape for media ventures in the country.

The shutdowns come as the latest development in the Authority’s efforts to ensure regulatory adherence and uphold broadcasting standards within the media industry.

The closure of TV stations by the CA can stem from various reasons, including regulatory infractions or breaches of broadcasting protocols.

These actions are part of the Authority’s mandate to enforce compliance with regulations, safeguard broadcasting integrity, and ensure that media entities operate within the legal boundaries set forth.
