Sad reason Nonini had to reshoot video for ‘Hustle Clean’ song

Renowned Genge artist Nonini has opened up about the intricacies involving the recent video for the song “Hustle Clean”.

Nonini whose real name is Hubert Nakitare, made this public through his X page alleging that the original video for the song “Hustle Clean” was shot in Kenya, but the video producer had allegedly refused to hand over the footage, forcing them to reshoot it outside the country.

Explaining the absence of his collaborator Michelle Bisonga in the video, Nonini revealed that he had to redo the entire shoot in Miami, USA.

Believe it or not I shot this video in Kenya December then a dude refused with my footage nikaingia Miami and shot it again. That’s why Michelle Bisonga is not on this version because he is holding her footage,” Nonini said.

The new video, directed by Hussein Njoroge, shows Nonini traveling in a jeep and visiting some serene beaches in Miami.

After several fans asked Nonini what action he had taken against the original video producer, he promised to resolve the issue and ensure such misconduct does not occur again.

“But you will hear that this will be the last time people mess with someone’s livelihood…” Nonini promised. The video itself has already garnered over a hundred thousand views in under two days.

The artist is also gearing up for a summer tour in various cities in Canada and will perform in Toronto on June 15, Calgary on June 29, and Vancouver on June 30.

Some of Nonini’s songs include “Watu na viatu”, “Nani Mwenza” and “We Kamu”.
