Rowdy crowd causes chaos at Njambi Koikai’s burial
The late Njambi Koikai’s funeral service turned into absolute mayhem after a crowd of reggae fanatics and a bunch of her fans who’d shown up at Lang’ata Cemetery to say their last goodbyes turned rowdy.
In a video captured by Mpasho’s media team, a huge crowd of hundreds of youths could be seen chanting and singing loudly as they carried banners that had the late media personality’s face as well as tree branches and wrapped twigs.
Most members of the rowdy crowd appeared to be males dressed in Rastafarian clothes and accessories as they chanted and sang along to music that was playing in the background. The MC requested the music to be turned off as she asked people to give room to her family so they’d be able to head over to the burial site.
However, his requests were not headed with the crowd starting their own songs and chants. They were so ungovernable despite police officers on the ground trying to disperse them and the MCs begging for some order.
