RIP! Wife of veteran actor Alphonse Makokha passes on

Kenyans have united with the family and friends of veteran actor and comedian Matayo Keya, popularly known as Alphonse Makokha Makacha, following the death of his beloved wife.

News of the passing of Makokha’s wife, Mrs. Purity Wambui, was announced by his fellow actor from the show Vioja Mahakamani, Ondiek Nyuka Kwota, on Sunday evening.

In an announcement made on Facebook, Ondiek mourned the late Wambui as a unique woman who touched the lives of many.

“Dear friends and fans, it is with great sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Purity Wambui, the beloved wife of Makacha aka ‘Babyface’ from Vioja Mahakamani on KBC Channel 1 TV,” Ondiek announced on his Facebook account.

He added, “She was an amazing woman who touched the lives of many with her kindness and warmth. Matayo Keya, also known as Makokha Makacha, and his family are deeply grateful for your love and support during this very difficult time.”

Ondiek asked fans to keep Makokha’s family in their prayers and continue to offer support during this challenging period.

“For those who wish to send their condolences, please feel free to leave your messages below. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your understanding and support,” he said.

Not much is publicly known about the late Purity Wambui, as actor Alphonse Makokha rarely shows his family in the public eye.
