Rapper, 17, accidentally shoots himself during TikTok live
Rylo Huncho, a 17-year-old TikTok rapper popular in the United States, died from an “accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound” during a tragic social media incident.
The rapper, Rylo Huncho, accidentally shot himself while recording a music video last week. Known for his presence on TikTok, Huncho accidentally killed himself while waving a gun, ultimately dying from the “accidental self-inflicted wound.”
According to the New York Post, the police initially did not confirm the young man’s name, but a circulating social media video showed the Suffolk-based rapper singing and dancing with a gun in his hand.
Police found him dead in Suffolk, Virginia, on Wednesday, May 15.
A horrifying video, posted on Huncho’s Instagram story, shows him swinging the gun around, displaying its built-in green laser and flashlight.
Later in the clip, he disabled the gun’s safety and pointed it at his head.
The aspiring rapper yelled into the camera, “f**k y’all n****s,” before pulling the trigger. The shot killed him as he disappeared from view, and his phone fell to the floor.
According to The Direct, his full name was Raleigh Freeman II. The sad news garnered more attention when one of his cousins started a GoFundMe campaign, hoping to raise $15,000 for his grieving family.
The campaign, named “Support for Aunt After Tragic Loss,” was organized by Monica Savage and Diane Bryant.
The post read, “Hello, my aunt recently lost her 17-year-old son due to a self-inflicted gunshot to the head.” The fundraisers confirmed that Huncho was his mother’s only son. Additionally, his mother was “a single parent who did her best to care for her son.”
They also added, “Suicide/accident is the cause of his death, and we are still trying to understand why.”
One of Raleigh’s friends, Twin Porter, saddened by the news, wrote on Facebook, “Getting the message that he has passed is very heartbreaking, and hearing the words people are saying about Railey is not right on any level. Please, God, give his mother the strength to cope with the immense pain she is experiencing.”
As of Tuesday, the young rapper had 28.3K followers on Instagram.
