PS nominees to be sworn in tomorrow

The nominees for Principal Secretary (PS) positions will be sworn in tomorrow, Thursday, 17th April 2025, following their approval by Parliament.

The swearing-in ceremony will take place at State House, Nairobi, starting at 8:30AM.

“As a prerequisite to assuming office of a Principal Secretary, you are obligated to subscribe to the solemn oath or affirmation of office as set out under Article 74 of the Constitution. This presidential action follows the recommendations of the Public Service Commission, as required by Article 155 (3)(a) of the Constitution,” reads a notification to the nominees from Head of Public Service Felix Koskei.

Among the approved PS nominees are Dr. Ouma Oluga for the State Department for Medical Services, Michael Lesan for the State Department for Devolution, Ahmed Abdisalan Ibrahim for the State Department for National Government Coordination, and Dr. Jane Imbunya for the State Department for Public Service and Human Capital Development.

Other nominees include Fikirini Jacobs for the PS position of Youth Affairs and Creative Economy, Carren Ageng’o for PS of Children Welfare Services, Carolyne Karugu for PS of East African Community, Michael Lenasalon for PS of Devolution and Judith Pareno for PS Justice, Human Rights, and Constitutional Affairs.
