PS appointees to be sworn in today

Principal Secretary (PS) appointees are set to be sworn in today, Thursday, April 17, at State House, Nairobi, following their approval by Parliament.

The swearing-in ceremony will take place at State House, Nairobi, starting at 8:30AM.

“As a prerequisite to assuming office of a Principal Secretary, you are obligated to subscribe to the solemn oath or affirmation of office as set out under Article 74 of the Constitution. This presidential action follows the recommendations of the Public Service Commission, as required by Article 155 (3)(a) of the Constitution,” reads a notification to the nominees from Head of Public Service Felix Koskei.

Among the approved PSs are Dr. Ouma Oluga for the State Department for Medical Services, Michael Lesan for the State Department for Devolution, Ahmed Abdisalan Ibrahim for the State Department for National Government Coordination, and Dr. Jane Imbunya for the State Department for Public Service and Human Capital Development.

Other include Fikirini Jacobs for the PS Youth Affairs and Creative Economy, Carren Ageng’o for PS Children Welfare Services, Carolyne Karugu for PS East African Community, Michael Lenasalon for PS Devolution and Judith Pareno for PS Justice, Human Rights, and Constitutional Affairs.
