President Ruto briefly joins X Space discussing issues affecting Kenyans
President William Ruto on Saturday briefly joined an X space which was discussing matters about his administration.
The X space was dubbed ” Good Morning Kenya: Where is Crazy Nairobian”.
The President joined shortly before exiting the space, eliciting reactions from Kenyans.
State House spokesperson Hussein Mohammed also joined the space.
People had gathered to talk about the issues concerning Kenyans.
This includes the Finance Bill 2024, those arrested during the protests against the bill and plans for Tuesday’s demonstration.
They were also planning on the medical centres for the injured to help victims.
Over 50,000 users joined X Space which was seeking to free arrested influencer Crazy Nairobian and to air their grievances on the Finance Bill 2024.
At some point, Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen joined the Space and was confronted over the whereabouts of the influencer.
Murkomen was confronted by X users after he was invited to speak on issues affecting Kenyans, when one of the hosts, Osama Otero asked, “Where is Billy (Crazy Nairobian)? That’s what we want to hear”.
The CS responded by saying that he was not aware of Billy’s case.
A co-host on the space then told Murkomen that since he had said he was on there to listen to the people, he should tell his ‘people’ to release Billy.
“You have said you are not aware of it, so tell your people to let go of Billy unconditionally. Billy has done no crime and if they are charging him let them forward the chargesheet, we just need Billy released,” he said.
In response, Murkomen said that he was ready to help them if at all they needed his help in finding Billy.
“No problem. If you need my help, I’m ready. I have heard you and I will pass the message to the relevant authorities,” he added.
