Otile announces release of his first gospel song

A few days after facing a mixed reaction from fans at the Raha Fest concert, artist Otile Brown has announced the release of his first gospel song.

Through his Instagram, Otile uploaded a clip of him singing the song and wrote that it was his first gospel song, set to be released on Friday, April 5.

Speaking about the inspiration behind composing the song titled ‘Hafanani’ (He is Unlike), Otile said that he has sung about many things but this time he would like to sing about God.

“#Hafanani drops tomorrow… first gospel song. Let me sing to the Lord, I sang about many things but never sang to Him 😔 witness with my voice tomorrow,” Otile said.

In parts of the song, the artist is heard singing words that he is not afraid even in accidents or death as he knows that his God is always close to him.

Here are some of the lyrics in his verses;

“I am defeated, yet I am not afraid even in accidents, as long as You are with me, I am fearless even in accidents because my God, He is unlike any human…”

The release of this song comes a few weeks after he dropped his album with 15 songs including ‘One Call’, which became popular among some Kenyans, especially following the death of TikToker Brian Chira.
