One student dead, 27 injured in Southern Bypass accident – KBC
One student has died while 27 others are hospitalized following a grisly road accident along the Southern Bypass.
The accident occurred on Sunday at around 4:00 PM when the bus ferrying the students reportedly lost control and veered off the road.
According to a police report, the bus was transporting young football players and their coaches back to Syokimau’s Gobles Estate after a training session at the Soccer Talent Ground on Ngong Road.
A 12-year-old boy succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at a Nairobi hospital, while the others are recuperating in various medical facilities.
Police have since launched investigations to determine the cause of the accident.
