Official duties of a prime cabinet secretary
On September 27, 2022, President William Ruto issued and signed a Presidential Executive Order establishing the office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary of the Republic of Kenya, a position unfamiliar to many.
The President nominated Musalia Mudavadi, who was later sworn into office on October 27, 2022. The functions of the Prime Cabinet Secretary’s office were promptly made public, with one of the key roles being performing any other function assigned by the President.
