NTV Journalist Rita Tinina to be buried Today

NTV Journalist Rita Tinina will today be laid to rest at her parents home in, Noosupeni Farm Olokirikirai.

A death and funeral announcement seen by The Star stated Tinina beloved daughter of the late Dominic and the late Mary Yiapan. 

“She was the mother of Mia Malaikah and loving partner of Robert Nagila,” read the announcement.

“She was also deeply cherished as a sister-in-law of Timothy, Roshen, Belmont, Agnes and Macharia.”

She was a beloved sister of Helen, Irene, Justine, Jedidah, Keen and Claudia.

The memorial mass of the late NTV Journalist was held on Monday at the Holy Family Basilica.

Rita  was found dead at her residence in Kileleshwa, Nairobi on Sunday, March 17th, 2024.

She was expected to be at work at NTV, where she was employed, but did not show up. Concerned by her absence, NTV management went to her house and found her dead.

Rita’s death was attributed to severe pneumonia, according to the results of an autopsy conducted on Tuesday, March 19.

The autopsy was conducted by government Pathologist Peter Ndegwa on March 19, 2024, at the Umash Funeral Home.

“The pathologist has done the postmortem and concluded Rita died out of severe pneumonia,” he said.

A family spokesperson Timothy Njaga also confirmed the same stating they they are satisfied with the results.
