She re-posted a social media post about feeling depressed to go outside.
“To everyone encouraging me to get out of the house, thank you but…Its been two and a half months of this battle,” she wrote
She went on to share “The world doesn’t wait for the grieving, It expects you to bounce back. See things positively, be grateful and smile politely when being told ‘time is a healer’ All of these things have felt like bullshit to me.”
She went on to thank the people who have showed up for her while she has been grieving “Thanks to all the special ones, I see and appreciate you.”
Previously, she had written;
“Due to personal reasons, I’ll be grieving today because the people I love that died are still very much dead…..And not coming back.”
Nazizi lost her second born son in December while they were on a trip to Tanzania. She announced the news on December 26th, 2023.
“It is with profound sorrow and deepest heartache that we confirm the tragic passing of Jazeel, the beloved son of Nazizi Hirji on Christmas Day, December 25th, 2023, in Tanzania.
We lost this young soul in an unfortunate accident at a hotel where the family was staying. He was buried earlier today in Nairobi, in accordance with his religion,” read part of the statement.
“In these dark times, the light of a child’s life—in all its innocence and joy—is undeniably the purest. The void left by the loss is both immeasurable, and the pain is unbearable.”
