Motorists urged to use alternative routes ahead of WRC » Capital News
NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 27 – The Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA) has urged motorists plying the Naivasha route to consider using alternative routes ahead of the World Rally Championship-Safari Rally to avoid potential traffic congestion.
The global event which has proved to be a huge crowd puller is slated to run from Thursday and end on Sunday with most events taking place in Naivasha.
According to KeNHA, motorists headed towards Nyanza and Western are advised to use the Narok route through Mai Mahiu.
Motorists heading towards Nakuru from Central Kenya are advised to divert at Thika and proceed via the Safaricom Foundation route through to Olakalau, Njambini and Lanet.
Officers will be deployed all over the route to ensure traffic flow during the rally.
Access to Service at the Wildlife Institute will be reserved for rally drivers and other authorized persons with entry passes.
