NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 14 – Moi International Airport, Mombasa (MIA) has been recognized as the Best Airport in Africa for its category by the Airports Council International (ACI World), marking the third consecutive year it has received the honor.
The award, which is part of the ACI Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Survey, acknowledges airports that provide exceptional service and passenger experiences.
“Since its inception in 2006, the ASQ program has solidified its reputation as the leading airport passenger satisfaction benchmark, with participation from more than 400 airports in 109 countries,” KAA noted
Moi International Airport’s commitment to customer satisfaction has been consistently recognized, reflecting its efforts to maintain high standards amidst the challenges faced by the aviation industry.
ACI World Director General, Luis Felipe de Oliveira, praised the Kenya Airports Authority for their exemplary service.
“Your dedication to excellence in customer experience sets a benchmark for airports worldwide! Keep setting the bar high.” Oliveira said
In his remarks, KAA’s Acting Managing Director, Henry Ogoye, expressed his pride in the airport’s achievement noting that the award is seen as a testament to the airport’s dedication to enhancing the travel experience for its passengers.
“This accolade reaffirms our commitment to providing exceptional experiences to all our passengers and serves as an inspiration for us to continue elevating our standards, ensuring MIA remains a leader in its category,” Ogoye said.
The ASQ Awards are based on feedback from travelers, emphasizing the significant impact airports have on the travel experience.
