Meet dancing Kenyan teacher Cillah who is taking TikTok by storm

She recently spoke to The Trends Amina Rabar, where she described her joy at being a teacher.

“Once you are a teacher you have to be creative, mnajibamba. Try and find ways of kujibamaba na watoto pia wewe and awaken the inner child.”

“My babies know whenever we learn something na ibamba they will always remind me, teacher lets record. So when I posted it, I felt happy watching it. I feel some fulfillment that I taught them within a short period of time, I gave it to them, they did it perfectly and I’m like ah I’m a proud teacher.”

The singing and dancing according to her have a role in connecting with young ones,

“In 844 it was either you get it or not. But when you listen to a song you get it fast. It will ring in your mind every time. so teaching with a musical version they remember.”

She said she listens to trending songs and uses the beat to teach and write notes for such young learners

“Personally I love it and I feel fulfilled the moment that I get a child and nurture them from grade 1 na hawana meno. I see them growing.. others couldn’t talk, and express themselves.”

Cillah wanted to be a High School teacher, “But then again my grades zikanifanyia ile kitu,” She found her greatness in lower classes.
