List of counties that will experience power outage today, Thursday

Several parts across four counties will be without power connectivity on Thursday for up to eight hours.

Kenya Power said in a public notice Wednesday evening that areas to be affected are within the counties of Nairobi, Nyeri, Samburu and Kiambu.

“Good Evening. The listed areas will be affected by planned power interruptions tomorrow June 27, 2024. The interruption is part of network maintenance.

In Nairobi, parts to be affected fall within Jogoo Road, Lucky Summer, Dandora,  parts of Ngara and Parklands.

The planned outage will occur between 9 am and 5p, the utility firm said.

Parts of Jogoo Road, Buruburu Phase 5, Muguna’s Supermarket, Naivas Supermarket, Uhuru Market and the adjacent customers will be affected.

In Dandora, power will be switched off in parts of Lucky Summer, Tiba and Ngunyumu primary schools, Dandora dumpsite, Co-operative Bank and the entire Dandora Phase 2-4.

In Ngara and Parkalds, areas to be affected include Museum Headquarters, Westlands Road, UoN law campus, Chemilil Road, part of Kipande Road, Mushembi Road and parts of Ngara market.

In Kiambu, areas to be affected include Kamakis, Nyacaba, Maraba, Gatong’ora, Raini and Loreto.

Among establishments to be affected include Buffalo Estate, Magic Stone Quarry, St George School, Kabati, Kwa Magu, Kangoki, Kimucu, Muthara and adjacent customers.

Around Kamakis, power will be off in Silicon Valley, the whole of Mashinani, By-Pass Corner, Green Valley, Tiverton, Gwa Kairu Riverside, Kiratina, Thome, part of Kihunguro, Miti Kenda, St Linda and Gatong’ora and the neighbouring customers.

Still in Kiambu, parts of Varsity Vile, Naivas, Quickmart, Mutonya Dispensary, Kwa China, Sewage, Kwihota, Gituamba Water Project, Kasphat, Boma Road, Kiamara Misanana, Ibonia, Turitu, part of Ksangoya, Loreto Kiambu and the adjacent customers will also be affected. 

Samburu County will see areas within Suguta, Posta and Churo go without power for the period indicated.

Areas to be affected include Mugie Ranch, Churo, Tangulbei, Suguta Marmar, Maralal town, Maralal Water Supply, Polo Radar station, Kisima and Loosuk and the adjacent customers.

In Nyeri, the populace to be affected is within Chaka Ranch and Milimani Chaka.

Power here will be switched off between 8 am to 5 pm in installations such as Chaka Brookside, Roben Aberdare, Kirinyaga Construction,  Ceprene Industries, Milimani Clasher, Nyewasco Gatei plant, Mathina, Kwa Gideon and adjacent customers.
