KPLC-Areas in Nairobi County to experience power cuts on Saturday
Kenya Power has issued a public notice outlining the areas in Nairobi and Uasin Gishu counties where it has scheduled power supply interruptions on Saturday.
“The interruptions are necessary to facilitate our engineers in conducting periodic system maintenance on the grid,” the company stated.
The power interruptions will occur at various times between 9 am and 5 pm in selected areas within the two counties.
In Nairobi, the affected areas and facilities include Malibu Court Madaraka, Kasneb Towers, Geomaps, parts of Kenyatta Hospital, Kemri Kenyatta, and Kenyatta Hospital Staff Quarters.
Additionally, areas such as Madina Centre Mosque, Mbaruk Road, Kanjaro Road, Mosiro Road, Sunview East, Golf Course East, Ngumo East, Kibera Amref, Silanga, Laini Saba, and adjacent customers will experience interruptions.
According to the notice issued on Friday evening, residents in South C, Nairobi West, Madaraka, part of Langata Road, part of Mbagathi Way, and Total Mbagathi Way will also face momentary power outages during the maintenance period.
Customers around Jonathan Glog, Funguo East, Akila East, Wilson Airport, and part of Sunshine School have also been informed of the power outage between 9 am and 5 pm.
Similarly, residents around Miller East, Oleshapara Avenue, Memon East, Muhoho Avenue, Best Western Hotel, and Deliverance Church Langata Road will be affected.
In other parts of Nairobi, such as Jonathan Ngeno East, Breeze East, White Star Academy, Freedom Heights, Rubis Petrol Station, Langata Road, Uchumi S/Market, Ngumo East, parts of KNH, Kibera, and adjacent areas, power interruptions are expected.
In Uasin Gishu County, maintenance works will be conducted at Aligula Market, Aligula Primary School, Seregeya Market, Mlimani Centre, and adjacent customers.
