KNH investigates patient’s death inside ward

The Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) has launched an internal investigations following the death of a patient within its facility.

In a statement issued on Friday, the hospital confirmed the incident and expressed condolences to the bereaved family even as details surrounding the circumstances of the patient’s death remain unclear.

“We are deeply saddened to confirm an incident involving the tragic death of a patient at the Kenyatta National Hospital. The hospital is working closely with law enforcement authorities and has launched an internal investigation to determine the facts surrounding this incident,” KNH’s Acting Chief Executive Officer Dr William Sigilai stated.
