Kenya, land of possibilities, declares new DP Kindiki Kithure in inaugural speech

Kenya is a land of possibilities, declared Professor Kindiki Kithure as he took the oath of office as the new Deputy President of Kenya in a ceremonial event held Friday, 1st November2024 at Kenya International Conference Centre (KICC).

Emphasizing the values of opportunity, resilience, and unity, Kithure spoke passionately about his journey from humble beginnings to the country’s second-highest office, a testament to Kenya’s promise to all its citizens.

In his inaugural speech the new Deputy President Kindiki Kithure paid tribute to the nation’s legacy, honoring those who fought for independence and for the constitutional freedoms that Kenyans enjoy today.

Similarly, he pledged his dedication to supporting President William Ruto in implementing policies aimed at economic growth, youth employment, and national unity.

“As Deputy President, I am committed to ensuring that Kenya remains a land of opportunity for all, and I will work tirelessly to serve every Kenyan,” Kithure affirmed.

Adding that: “Our mission is to create a nation where everyone, regardless of background, has the chance to thrive.”

Kindiki expressed profound gratitude to his mentors, colleagues, and heroes who paved the way for him and millions of Kenyans striving for a better future.

“I am here because of the sacrifices of those who believed in this country’s promise. Today, I am living proof that in Kenya, anyone, regardless of where they come from, can achieve their dreams,” Kithure said.

“To all the heroes of our past and the everyday heroes of our present, I am deeply grateful.”

Consequently, Kithure took a moment to honor his family, acknowledging his wife, Joyce Kithure, for her unwavering support and commitment to raising their three children Imani, Nema, and Wendell while he dedicated himself to public service.

“My wife and children have been my constant source of strength. Without their support and patience, I could not have devoted myself to serving the nation,” he said.

Further he called on all Kenyans to unite in building a stronger, more inclusive nation.
