Kenya Kwanza is National Assembly’s majority party – Speaker Wetangula

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula announced on Wednesday that the Kenya Kwanza coalition is remains the majority party in the House.

In a highly anticipated ruling, Wetangula dismissed calls to declare the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party as the majority party, reaffirming his earlier stance that the Raila Odinga-led party is the minority party in the House.

“To the extent that I have not received any communication from the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party or the Kenya Kwanza Coalition regarding their leadership in the House, the leadership that existed at the end of the last session remains the leadership of this House,” he stated.
