KDF formally hands over refurbished Uhuru Park to City Hall » Capital News

NAIROBI, Kenya, Apr 18 – The Ministry of Defence has formally handed the management of the refurbished Uhuru and Central Parks back to the Nairobi County Government following the completion of renovations.

The ceremony was witnessed by Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale and Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja.

Some of the works carried out during the renovation period include the creation of green spaces and the introduction of control access points.

Several gates and a fence around the park have also been put up in a bid to enhance security in and around the facility.

Sculptures of wild animals which include warthogs and rhinos have been placed strategically along the grass lawns.
