Jalang’o speaks on how entering politics has affected him
Lang’ata MP Felix Odiwuor, also known as ‘Jalang’o,’ has recounted his life after joining politics. He said that after entering politics, nothing has changed in his life.
“In life, nothing has changed; I still live in the same place, drive the same car, and nothing has changed except the responsibility I have to provide solutions to people’s problems. But in terms of lifestyle, nothing has changed; my life continues as it was before,” he said during an interview with Massawe Jappani on Radio Jambo.
He explained that he greatly enjoys political life because he serves the people who sent him to parliament to work for them.
“I really enjoy it, what I enjoy most is working with people who say thank you; it’s very enjoyable when people say they don’t have water in their area, you work hard, they get water, and you fix the roads, it’s very enjoyable, and later they say thank you,” he said.
He said that in the upcoming elections, he will still be running for the Lang’ata parliamentary seat, and based on the work he has done for the people of Lang’ata, he believes he will win again.
When asked if he fails to win the Lang’ata parliamentary seat in the upcoming elections, he said he doesn’t need to return to broadcasting.
“Even if I don’t return to broadcasting, I can still do my business or return to broadcasting, but why not return to politics, and if you work for the people, you will get votes,” the MP said.
