Former Cabinet Secretaries have expressed gratitude to President William Ruto for the opportunity to serve during the initial two years of the Kenya Kwanza administration.
President Ruto dissolved his cabinet Thursday afternoon, dismissing all CSs and the Attorney General, except for Prime Cabinet Secretary and Foreign Affairs CS Musalia Mudavadi.
Former Defence CS Adan Duale, previously Garissa  Township MP, expressed his indebtedness to both the President and the people of Kenya for the opportunity to serve in the critical docket.
âI extend my heartfelt gratitude to the President for entrusting me with the role of Cabinet Secretary for Defence in the first Kenya Kwanza Administration. I am deeply honoured and will forever be indebted to him and the people of Kenya for this opportunity to serve our great nation,â said Duale.
Simon Chelugui, who served as the Cabinet Secretary for Cooperatives and MSMEs, took to the X platform to thank President Ruto for his trust and concluded with a message for Kenyans.
âKenyans, let us support our President William Ruto, work hard, and put our plans in Godâs hands, trusting that He has plans to prosper us, not to harm us, and to give us hope and a future,â Chelugui stated.
Former Roads CS Kipchumba Murkomen said âIt has been my greatest privilege and honor to serve my country as a Cabinet Secretary in charge of Roads & Transport. Thank you Mr President for giving me the opportunity. God bless you and God bless Kenya.â
Soipan Tuya, who headed the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry, expressed her sincere gratitude for the privilege and honor to serve in her role.

President Ruto is expected to name a new Cabinet after extensive consultations across all sectors to form a broad-based government.
