I was an actor too! Gachagua praises content creators

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has praised young people for their creativity in content creation. The DP said he is very proud to see young people succeeding in the creative industry.

He admitted that while growing up, he was an actor and content creator, adding that he relates closely with the younger generation.

Gachagua commended musician and actor Kevin Bahati for his entry into Netflix.

On June 6, Bahati and his wife Diana Marua launched their reality TV show titled ‘The Bahati Empire’.

“I went to launch Bahati’s entry into Netflix, he has a great film. I saw some people trying to attack me because I joined content creators and actors. I was an actor and content creator, there’s nothing you can do about it. Some of these things you will die with,” Gachagua said.

He spoke on Saturday at the National University of Nyeri, during a conference named ‘Mayouth Tuwe Set Initiative’.

The DP said the government will continue to engage the new generation of young people to effectively utilize their talents.

Gachagua said he is proud of these young people because they are talented, skilled, and inspiring.

“When you spend time with young people, you leave as a better person. They know much more than we do, are more skilled, and are open,” he said.

Gachagua said he learns a lot from them and that they deserve to be given priority and respect.

The DP urged young people to focus on harnessing their talents as a solution to end unemployment.
