How our dad prepared us for his death-Gen Ogolla’s son reveals to mourners
A speech by the late CDF Francis Ogolla’s son Joel Rabuku moved mourners who attended a mass at his family home on Friday, April 19.
The late Ogolla was painted as a religious man who passed on such values to his family. His wife Aileen narrated how they used to read the Bible every day together.
Joel divulged how Ogolla was a simple man who regularly told his family that all he would leave the world with was the word of God.
“I’m seeing very many sad faces but General we would just be wondering what people are sad about especially since he has prepared us for this day for a very long time. You guys look a bit happier,” he requested mourners.
Joel added, “The family leaning on his faith on our own faith, and the faith of Jesus Christ, which was his corner rock for everything and General is in a good place.
I got to see him both yesterday and today when I was going to try and get his belongings, those of you who know General and his sister Peris, they had a very cheeky smile on their face when they are doing something cheeky. I can tell you General is resting right now with a cheeky smirk on his face. So nyinyi msivurute sura sana,” he assured.
The son also indicated the faith their dad held,
“Na yeye ata in death anashangaa hii watu what is the issue. It is going to be well for all of us. Poleni sana, everyone here had a personal relationship with him, and karibuni sana. Thank you,” he ended his speech.
