How Abel Mutua has defended scripting kiss with Sarah Hassan

Globally celebrated veteran Thespian and film artist Abel Mutua has finally set the record straight over his widely publicized kiss with actress and movie director Sarah Hassan.

Abel had been accused of abusing his power as a script writer to satisfy his desires by a couple of netizens after an old video of him speaking about his time at Tahidi High resurfaced online.

In the said short video, Abel could be seen heartily recounting how Sarah had been giving him a hard time and when he got an opportunity to write the last few episodes of the beloved show he included a kiss scene between them. A move that has now landed him in trouble with social media users.

Touching on the topic finally, the father of one maintains things were taken out of context by people who misunderstood his remarks.

“Now that is the fault of whoever who highlighted just that part and started the rumours they clearly did not watch that podcast well or to the end.

In that podcast, that story was not about Abel Mutua, Dennis Mugo and Sarah Hassan it was about their characters, Freddie, OJ and Tanya. As you can recall the audience used to highly vouch for OJ and Tanya to be together, they did not want Freddie to win the conquest.

So as a writer I decided to “beat the audience” and take the story in a path that they did not expect, and that was all our characters not in real life,” Abel, who mostly goes by the moniker Mkurugenzi said during a phone call with Ankali Ray.
