Free education will not be comprised, Ruto assures

President William Ruto has assured Kenyans that the free primary and secondary education in public schools will not be compromised.

Speaking at a Sunday service at ACK St. Martin’s Light Industries Church in Kariobangi, Nairobi, President Ruto said free primary and secondary education is guaranteed in the constitution and that the government will continue investing in the sector.

The head of state, at the same time, disclosed that teachers will soon get a salary increase of up to 29 per cent. He noted that in the last two years, significant efforts have been made to make education accessible and affordable for all learners.

He highlighted the government’s continued investment in the construction and expansion of schools as part of its broader strategy to strengthen the education system and guarantee equal opportunities for all Kenyan children.
