Family reveals what caused Costa Titch’s death

Family of late South African singer and dancer Constantinos Tsobanoglou popularly known to many as Costa Titch has shared a statement into what caused the death of the singer.

Through the late singer’s Instagram page, the family wrote;

“Amidst speculations, our team and family have collaborated with pathologists to unveil the true cause of his passing.

The post-mortem examination revealed significant strain on Costa’s heart, unbeknownst to him, compounded by enduring stress and fatigue,” read part of the statement

“This culmination likely led to an irregular heartbeat, triggering the seizure that claimed his life. Costa Titch’s influence transcended boundaries, inspiring countless souls throughout his journey, leaving an indelible mark on the world of music.

In this time of mourning, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to his devoted fans for their unwavering love and support.”

The family urged his fans to continue to honor his legacy together.

Titch unexpectedly collapsed in March 2023, while performing at the Ultra Music Festival, he passed away on the 11th of March 2023.

At the time, his family said they had been robbed of a son and grandson.

“Death has tragically knocked at our door. Robbing us of our beloved son, brother and grandson, Constantinos Tsobanoglou (28), who South Africa had come to love and idolize under his stage name “Costa Titch” read part of the statement.

“It is with deep pain that we find ourselves having to acknowledge his passing at this time. We are thankful for the emergency responders and all those present in his last hours on this earth.”

The family also asked fans for space during this difficult time.

“As a family we are faced with a difficult time as we try to make sense of what has befallen us and ask that we be afforded the time and space to gather ourselves. The Tsobanoglou family thanks you for the love and support you have given to our son and may you continue to uplift him even in spirit. Please keep us in your prayers and uplifted in the Lord.”
