Eric Omondi makes wonderful offer to Stephen Bhingi after his house flooded
Comedian Eric Omondi has volunteered to relocate content producer and avid Reggae fan, Stephen ‘Rasta’ Bhingi.
On Monday night, a video was circulated on social media showing Bhingi’s house flooded after heavy rains.
The comedian came across the video and posted it on his Instagram account, urging his fans to help him get Bhingi’s contact information if they have it, so he can help him move to a better house.
Mr. Bhingi has become popular for his unique attire – a large Rasta hat, a Rasta-colored scarf, Gideon boots, pants, and a coat.
The content producer began pushing his content on TikTok, where he could be seen dancing while hanging out with boda boda riders in Githurai or just lounging in his Kiandutu neighborhood in Thika, jumping and dancing to reggae songs on camera.
In one of such videos, Mr. Bhingi is seen talking to unknown boda boda riders, telling them that he was heading to State House to meet with President Ruto, where he would tell him how the cost of living has affected ordinary people’s lives.
“I’m going to State House, man … I’m going to tell him that things are messed up these days. No food,” he says to a group of boda boda riders.
On March 18, photos and videos of Bhingi and President Ruto smiling at each other while taking famous street photos were posted online.
The President appeared genuinely happy to meet the content producer, who seemed delighted to see the former president.
