Emotions run high as anti-tax protestor Evans Kiratu, 21, buried in Kiambu [Video]

The body of Evans Kiratu who was the second victim to die during the RejectFinanceBill protests has been laid to rest in Kaimbu today.

Evans, 21, died after succumbing to an injury from a teargas canister that hit his body near the groin.

While viewing his body Friday, June 28, Evans’s mother cried desperately .

Evans was shot on Thursday, June 20, in a protest where Kenyans were voicing concerns over the controversial Finance Bill 2024.

His mother Ann Wanjiru said she was informed by a good Samaritan on June 22, that her son had been injured. She rushed to hospital only to find he had died.
