Christina Shusho’s ex-hubby speaks weeks after she said they split up

Pastor John Shusho has spoken weeks after renowned Tanzanian gospel singer Christina Shusho, revealed that she had asked to leave their marriage.

“Tell your neighbor that it’s painful, but God has ordained it. He will always prepare you for what lies ahead. To reach a new level, you must face some challenges to prepare you for what is to come.

“You cannot triumph without entering a competition. New level, new devil, new glory. When you ascend to a new level, you will encounter certain challenges, but God will always equip you to overcome them for the upcoming season,” Mr. John stated.

He continued, “At times, the preparation may not align with your expectations, and because you never foresaw these new challenges, you will endure pain, you will be hurt, but God always has a purpose for that pain. The pain is meant to shape you, to refine you, to make you better than you were before.”

Last month, Ms. Shusho, who has garnered popularity among Kenyan audiences, asserted that she chose to seek a separation from her husband and the father of their three children to fulfill what she believes is God’s calling.

“Let me be candid, I have always been truthful and do not deceive. The truth is that it’s a mission. There is nothing else. The mission that God has assigned me in this season does not allow me to remain where I was. I had to depart to fulfill the assignment,” she expressed in an interview with Jerusalem Church TV.

On how they reached that point, the artist notes that she respectfully approached her husband and told him that she wanted him to “release her” as she has a journey to travel.

“I told him to allow me to carry my burden as I usually do. Let me carry my load, and you continue with your service. There was no problem at all,” the Tanzanian songstress candidly said.

She further described her departure as amicable. In recent years, Christina has been vocal about her marriage, unlike her husband.
