The meeting will bring together aspirants, religious leaders, businessmen, professionals and opinion leaders from 10 counties.

But the meeting has elicited mixed reactions with its opponents dismissing it as hot air. Led by Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru dismissed the much awaited Limuru III meeting scheduled for today.

Waiguru said leaders should focus more on fulfilling their pre-election pledges to the electorate instead of engaging in early campaigns.

She termed the meeting as a scheme for early campaigns, adding that the 2027 elections were far away and leaders must be given a chance to deliver.

Waiguru said that as one of the UDA Governors, she would not participate in such a forum, urging leaders to desist from divisive and tribal politics.

Waiguru also dismissed the raging debate on the One man, One vote, One shilling revenue sharing formula, saying that as governors they have presented their proposals on revenue allocation across the country.

The debate on the One man, One vote, One shilling revenue sharing formula, has sparked divergent views across the political divide after Deputy President, Rigathi Gachagua, hinted on pushing for its implementation.Â
