KEMSA wins top award by European Society for Quality Research » Capital News
NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 27 – The Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) has won the Best Quality Leadership Award 2024, which is bestowed by the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR).
ESQR acknowledged KEMSA for its outstanding leadership under its CEO Andrew Mulwa and Board of Directors for implementing innovative approaches that have enhanced quality systems and transformed it into an efficient provider of Health Products and Technologies supply chain solutions.
“These initiatives have been credited with saving lives and improving health outcomes,” ESQR noted.
The ESQR annual recognition program honoured KEMSA among various companies, institutions, and organizations worldwide.
ESQR evaluates improvement systems and research projects contributing to quality organizational culture, acknowledging excellence, promoting innovation and visionary thinking, sharing knowledge, facilitating networking, and promoting conformity assessment across sectors and regions.
Mulwa will accept the reward on behalf of KEMSA.
“Dr. Mulwa will receive the award on KEMSA’s behalf in Brussels in June,” KEMSA stated.
This milestone comes two months after Mulwa secured the African Governance Award,2024 in Malawi as recognition to the contribution he has had to the authority in reshaping it into the most Outstanding Medical Supplies Authority across the African continent.
