Kenya asks Ford Foundation to share details of organizations it finances
The government of Kenya on Wednesday wrote to the Ford Foundation over the possible involvement of some of the organizations receiving its financial backing in recent anti-government protests in the country.
In the letter to the foundation’s President Darren Walker, Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Dr. Korir Sing’Oei wants the American private foundation to, among other things, supply the government of Kenya with full details of its Grantees over the last year, the programmes approved, particularly over the last three months, budgets for each project, the amounts so far disbursed and what is pipelined for disbursement.
“Furnish us with Reports from your Grantees detailing the activities carried out, the cost of these activities and their beneficiaries,” added Sing’Oei
