Olympic ceremonial kits ni kama za ruracio- Bien declares
Well-established Kenyan artist Bien Aime openly criticized Kenya’s ceremonial kits for the delegation attending the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
In an exclusive interview with Mpasho, the artist described the design of Kenyan athletics attire as mediocre, attributing this to shortcomings within the ministries responsible.
The attires, often likened to “Ruracio design,” prompted the creative critic to explain that the designers lacked prior experience in fashion and design.
He stressed how this has impacted society and urged the ministries involved to reject such ceremonial kits.
Bien also expressed appreciation for the Gen Z movement, crediting them with challenging outdated governance practices in the country.
As a Gen Z himself, he claimed to have influenced national governance through his music, particularly songs like ‘Tujiangalie,’ which highlight societal mistakes, especially those caused by national and local leaders.
