Kware murder suspect confesses to strangling wife, dismembering her body
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has revealed that the prime suspect behind bodies discovered in Kware, Mukuru Slums, Nairobi, murdered 42 women.
DCI boss Mohamed AminĀ Monday said the suspected, after interrogation, revealed that he had killed the 42 women and disposed of their bodies in the dumpsite in two years.
“The suspect confessed to having lured killed and disposed of a total of 42Ā female bodies,” the DCI boss said.
He said that the bodies were all murdered between 2022 and as recently as July 11, 2024.
The bodies were killed, wrapped and disposed of similarly.
“The suspect alleged that the first victim was his wife, whom he strangled to death dismembered and dumped in the site,”Ā Amin said.
Amin said that the operation is likely to lead to the arrest of more persons.

On Monday at DCI headquarters, Amin said the suspect led officers to his single room in Kware located 100m from the quarry.
“This is where he told us what he has been doing to the victims,” he said.
Amin disclosed the list of items found in possession of the suspect in the Kware killings.
“His pursuit and subsequent arrest followed a very thorough forensic analysis of a mobile phone that belonged to one of the victims namely Josephine Owino where some mobile money transactions were conducted on the very day Josephine went missing,” the DCI boss said
