How I was abducted & interrogated
Crazy Nairobian, the influential X.com user, has once again relived his experience in the hands of abductors after participating in the anti-tax protests.
He was among several young Kenyans, abducted in suspicious circumstances that led to national outrage.
Crazy Nairobian, in an X space #citizenassembly with LSK President Faith Odhiambo Friday July 12 told an audience of his harrowing experience being arrested and bundled out of his home.
He was held incommunicado as Kenyans frantically sought to know his whereabouts.
Also abducted around the same time was X influencer Geroge Dianno, Austin Omondi, Shard Khalif, and Salim Ishamel, and Osama Otero.
Nairobian told the X space that masked men forced their way into his houseÂ
“Fr me it was more of a surprise. We had just come from Thursday maandamano, sdo on Friday I was still asleep throughout the day”
He was dressed in shorts and a tshirt. At 3pm, on 21st June, there was a knock on the door.
There were 4 people in balaclavas, and a lady who had on a face mask.Â
“The first question they asked me was Billy, and out of shock I answered, yes?”
they forced their way in and “The first guy went to the balcony, and there was this huge guy, he told me to face the wall”
Billy was handcuffed and forced to sit. “The other guy went for my laptop and my phone. They started interrogating me, , asked me to open my phone. But I refused. The whole time they ignored my question nimefanya nini”
They ignored Billy’s plea to put on trousers. He then rushed to a car
“I was sandwiched to the back of the car. We drove around for like two hours, so in my mind I knew I was being taken out of Nairobi”
His fear was allayed “first of all they didn’t introduce themselves I was also blindfolded so I knew stori yangu imeisha hivo. We drove around then they started whispering, asking for directions, they sent him the pin”
The vehicle he was ins topped and heard “toa huyo jamaa kwa kahawa tumalizane tuende kazi ingine”
He was led into a very cold room “They told me to lie on my stomach, they asked my name , I told them Billy Simani, the next thing they wanted my ID No, where I come from, asked me nimeshikiwa wapi, ” He began suspecting these were different group of abductors.
He lay on his stomach for an hour, then was taken back up the stairs, into an interrogation room.
“Those guys at the interrogation room were a bit friendly, I sat on a chair and one guy started asking me questions, Name, Id no, social media handles, and they told me we are going t o ask questions”
They warned him of dire consequences “they told me this is not a police station, so they might not find you. You have to cooperate. They wanted to know who was funding these protests, I told them no one, it’s just the youth “
